Liberation stands in solidarity with Jeremy Corbyn MP following his suspension from the Labour party.
Jeremy has been fighting against racism all his life.
As a former, long-time chair of Liberation and current Liberation council member Jeremy Corbyn has been unstinting in his commitment to rooting out racism in all its manifestations in the UK and across the globe.
As a genuine anti-racist Jeremy has also consistently campaigned to alter the structures that underpin racism, from those arising from the profound and devastating legacy of slavery and British Empire to the neo-colonial policies pursued under the leadership of US imperialism today.
Liberation rejects any suggestion that Jeremy is anti-Semitic and while we have no intention to interfere with internal processes of any political party we feel compelled to publicly state our incomprehension of the rationale of the decision to suspend Jeremy on such grounds.
