We thank supporters and friends who celebrated with us our 70th anniversary in London on Saturday 16th November, 6.30pm.
Above is a special message from the Cuban Ambassador to the UK, Her Excellency Ismara Mercedes Vargas Walter. Her Excellency was unable to attend but we thank Comrade Orestes Martínez García, the Embassy’s Press Counselor for joining us in person.
Speaker: Fathi El – Fadl (second, far right) made a powerful speech calling for continued solidarity with the Sudanese people amid the ‘proxy war’ still ongoing in his country, which is having horrific humanitarian consequences. Fathi El – Fadl is a senior progressive Sudanese politician, a member of Forces for Radical Change in Sudan, and vice president of the International Centre for Trade Union (ICTUR).
Our joint Presidents Maggie Bowden and Jeremy Corbyn both argued powerfully on the continued important role of Liberation to support struggles against imperialism, for peace, justice and human rights in the Global South.
