Liberation met with Peter Mertens, general secretary of the PTB-PVDA (Workers’ Party) of Belgium in London to discuss the developments in the Global South at a time that world is going through a turbulent period.
Peter Mertens, who is also an MP in Belgium, and author of numerous political works, joined Liberation at our office in central London (located within the office of Aslef trade union), together with his assistant Gille Feyaerts. This is the third time Liberation has met with Peter Mertens, who has written numerous times for our journal and delivered our Fenner Brockway lecture in 2025.
