Israel’s Gaza Occupation Plan: Palestinian People’s Party statement

We Condemn the Zionist fascist decisions to entrench the occupation of Gaza and call for the broadest and strongest Palestinian unity to confront them.

The Palestinian People’s Party strongly condemned the decisions of the Israeli occupation and terrorism government to fully expand and entrench its occupation of the Gaza Strip, and to forcibly displace nearly one million Palestinians from Gaza City and the northern part of the Strip through military force.

In a press statement issued today, Friday, the Party said these decisions constitute yet another war crime that falls within the framework of the systematic and open war against our people, aimed at expelling them from their homeland and liquidating their national cause entirely. It stressed that the fascist occupation government would not have been able to take further escalatory and aggressive decisions to expand, intensify, and prolong its genocide against our people —starving, thirsting, besieging them, depriving them of the most basic necessities of life, and committing various assaults and crimes in the West Bank— were it not for the absolute US support for it, even direct partnership in this war. This is compounded by the occupation system’s exploitation of international silence and impotence, the hypocrisy and collusion of many imperialist forces and reactionary regimes, as well as the benefit it draws from the Palestinian state of division and fragmentation, and the absence of a unified political plan and militant will.

While affirming that these occupation decisions, along with its ongoing war crimes, will only worsen the humanitarian catastrophe and heighten the risks of displacement for our people, the Party called on all Palestinian forces and factions to urgently assume their historic national responsibility to remove all obstacles hindering the end of the division, and to unite all capabilities and efforts. This should be done in order to achieve the broadest and strongest Palestinian unity, adopt a unified national discourse and plan to confront the occupation’s war and crimes, and foil its colonial and fascist schemes — foremost among them the danger of displacement and ethnic cleansing of our people — and to support and strengthen their steadfastness on their land.
