Liberation unequivocally condemns the military coup, launched on the morning of Monday 25th October 2021 in Sudan, against the transitional cabinet and civilian representatives on the country’s Sovereign Council. We are firmly opposed to any attempt made to hijack and divert Sudan’s hard-won transition to democracy after decades of brutal dictatorship, and we proudly stand with the people of Sudan, the one-million-strong march underway in Khartoum, and protesters on the country’s national day of action.
